Who We Are
Ray Schmidt
Founder & BTSR Speaker
Ray was an IT executive for over 30 years and is now a coach, disciple-maker, and author with a passion for helping people move beyond information-based Christianity into a transformative, deeply relational walk with God – Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit.
As the author of THE TOV HEART: God's Design for a Life Rooted in What Matters Most, Ray combines practical wisdom, biblical truth, and personal experience to help others discover their God-given identity and path into their purpose in creation.
Over the years, it became clear to Ray that only through the narrative of his life could he hope to find the purpose and alignment that leads to true success. His own failure to acknowledge and engage his stories with integrity and truth ultimately led to failure - both personally and professionally.

Ray's greatest desire is for us all to come alive. Leaving behind our fear and shame to truly live our lives out of the glory God created in each of us. Impacting others as He intends. To create environments where life can flourish and disciples are born; as far as the ripples of our lives run.

Ray has been married to his wife, Debbie, for over 30 years and is the proud father of four adult children and four grandchildren.

Tim and Ray are allies. Having partnered to bring multiple Wild At Heart events impacting hundreds men in the Southeast US over the last three years, delivering both the Wild At Heart Retreat and Survival School.

At the Become The Solution Retreat, Ray brings an open life of both success and failure, a heart devoted to union with God, and a vision for discipleship as living out of the glory God intends to use through you to impact the world (Matthew 28:19-10).
Tim Hayes
Ally & BTSR Speaker
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University and a Master of Arts in Exegetical Theology from Covenant Theological Seminary. Tim served as Connections Pastor at Encounter Church in Arnold, Missouri, and is now Pastor of Teaching & Discipleship at The Bridge Church in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Tim is a lover of mystery and wildness, wisdom and experience, and is especially intrigued by where and how those pairs of realities intersect. A passionate teacher and disciple-maker, he is devoted to equipping people to walk closely with Jesus and live out their faith in deep union with God – Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit.
Tim has been married to his wife Heather for 22 years and is enthusiastically parenting four children through elementary, middle, and high school.
Tim and Ray are allies. They have partnered to bring multiple Wild At Heart events hundreds men in the Southeast US over the last three years, delivering both the Wild At Heart Retreat and Survival School.

At the Become The Solution Retreat, Tim brings biblical depth, experiential wisdom, and a shepherd's heart as he challenges men to deepen their discipleship with Jesus and allow that discipleship, overflowing from their union with God, to lead others to do the same. (Matthew 28:19-20).
