Most of us spend the majority of our time working. Working to provide for our wives and families. Working to serve our churches. Working in our community. Working, working, working until we are burned out to a crackling crunch. Dry and parched in a land that just keeps demanding more.

Are you thirsty? Could you use some refreshment? A double-shot caramel mocha latte? Or maybe what you really need is just a deep draught of living water?

If you are caring for others out of what is flowing through you instead of out of the overflow of God within you, BASIC is an opportunity for you to join other men and unplug from “The Matrix.” An opportunity for you to reconnect with God in the context of the most essential component of your identity … who you are as a man.

BASIC is the Wild at Heart Boot Camp led by John Eldredge and his team via video followed by times alone with God by the lake or in the woods. There is also time set aside for you to fish, canoe, kayak, hike, or just chill. Whatever your heart needs.

This is not a retreat about the “Seven things you ought to do to be a better man.” This event is a unique opportunity to begin a quest to deepen/revive your life with God, to reengage your passion, and to remember who God called you to be. First as a man. Second as a son, husband, and/or father. Third in the service of others. To recover your heart, initiate, or refresh your union with God, and step onto the path and into the process of creating environments where life can flourish! The abundant life Jesus promises in John 10:10.

NOTES:

• This event is for men ages 18+ only.

• We will meet at Bethel Christian Camp on the evening of Thursday Feb 27th (Dinner @ 6PM, First Session @ 7PM). We will be staying through noon, Sunday Mar 2nd.
