Our hearts were never created to shift from tragedy to tragedy, conflict to conflict repeatedly, multiple times a day; much less, multiple times a minute. It’s the emotional and spiritual equivalent of the Mount Saint Helens eruption in our hearts. But it never ends, and we never give our hearts and minds time to recover, heal, and process.

One of the most precious gifts of God is consolation. Often, we experience it without naming it. It simply is. The provision of God when we are troubled.

Much like darkness being the absence of light, hate is the absence of love. And, as there is a progression from day to night, light to dark, there is also a progression from love to hate.

The death of creativity occurs when we follow the path of the Evil One and harden our hearts, when we reject the “Imago Dei.” And, when creativity dies so does the greatest gift of God’s creativity. Love.

There once was a man standing in a magnificent garden. A place full of life. A place where life flourished.

It is impossible to coast to Jesus. To “come to him,” you must act on purpose. You must consciously exercise your will.

There are three crucial “ascents” on our journey that go largely unconsidered today. I call them ascents because each requires effort.

We’re all searching for something. Exactly what that something is depends on you.

Your Will, whether you realized it or not, is the primary driver of your life.
