So, what is the antidote? Or, to borrow a phrase from Francis Schaeffer, the question for us a Christians is “How then should we live?” How do we survive today’s “new age movement?”

Our hearts were never created to shift from tragedy to tragedy, conflict to conflict repeatedly, multiple times a day; much less, multiple times a minute. It’s the emotional and spiritual equivalent of the Mount Saint Helens eruption in our hearts. But it never ends, and we never give our hearts and minds time to recover, heal, and process.

Impact, influence, and value in the Kingdom of God is measure in love.

Much like darkness being the absence of light, hate is the absence of love. And, as there is a progression from day to night, light to dark, there is also a progression from love to hate.

It is impossible to coast to Jesus. To “come to him,” you must act on purpose. You must consciously exercise your will.

There are three crucial “ascents” on our journey that go largely unconsidered today. I call them ascents because each requires effort.

The abundance of God is always on display. If we are willing to look down, it shows itself in every blade of grass, every flower, and animal

We’re all searching for something. Exactly what that something is depends on you.

It is Jesus’ simple questions which bring us clarity and lead us into deeper union with himself. Life to the full. Abundant Life.

God both comes for and uses ordinary people to do his magnificent and glorious work in the world.
