Last summer as I was walking on the sand in North Myrtle Beach looking for shark teeth and interesting shells and God gave me this thought ... "The beauty of broken shells." This phrase has stuck with me and has massaged its way into my heart.
If you take a moment to unplug from the Matrix, sit back and watch people on the beach, we're all looking for the "perfect" shell. The complete shell without any chips or cracks or holes.
However, you really don't have to look hard to discover that the VAST majority of shells are broken ... they are pieces. However, those pieces are truly remarkable, intricate and beautiful. Unique. Singular. Much like people I think. You just have to stop and look.
