As Psalm 127 begins ... "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain."

The admonition here is twofold – we need to be in alignment with God and we’re in a battle. Much in the spiritual realm has been and continues to be set against God's work in our lives and our efforts to build in the Kingdom.

With that said, leaning into God with focused, specific prayer is both powerful and effective (James 5:16) and provides the solid spiritual foundation to support the work in heart, mind and will; as well as concrete, brick and mortar.

The two are not separate categories or areas of our lives. The physical and spiritual are intricately linked in the reality that is our lives.
